Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various aspects of substation structural design, including the preparation of steel performance drawings, fabrication drawings, and foundation design. You will develop steel and concrete construction specifications, cost estimates, engineering proposals, and project schedules. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with typical structural code requirements and coordinate with all disciplines contributing to electrical substation design.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare steel performance drawings, fabrication drawings, and foundation design.Develop steel and concrete construction specifications, cost estimates, engineering proposals, and project schedules.Understand and incorporate typical structural code requirements.Coordinate with all disciplines contributing to electrical substation design.Prepare calculation packages to satisfy client and code requirements.Perform QA/QC for deliverables to clients.Support Project Manager with project reporting needs.Assist in proposal development.Mentor and train other team members.Adhere to client standards and processes while working individually or within a team to complete complex and technically challenging designs.Occasional travel may be required.Essential SkillsExperience in civil/structural engineering, particularly in substation design.Proficiency in AutoCAD.Strong understanding of structural design and structural analysis.Knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Seismic Engineering for structures is a plus.Work Environment
You will work in a collaborative environment that involves coordination with various disciplines contributing to electrical substation design. The role may require occasional travel. The work setting involves the use of technologies such as AutoCAD and adherence to client standards and processes. Dress code and specific facility conditions will be detailed as per project requirements.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00
