Job Title: Structural Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team. You will report to the Senior Project Manager and Principal, collaborating with geotechnical, architectural, and MEP project members to complete various projects. Your role will involve developing structural design calculations, conducting structural analysis and research, creating specifications, and producing structural drawings. You will also apply building codes and design guidelines to the design of foundations, superstructures, and related building components.

ResponsibilitiesReport to the Senior Project Manager and Principal on projects.Collaborate with geotechnical, architectural, and MEP project members to complete projects.Develop structural design calculations, structural analysis, specifications, and structural drawings.Apply ACI, AISC, and IBC building codes, PCI & PTI Design Guidelines to the design of foundations, superstructures, and related building components.Assist with site visits and review testing, inspection, and field reports.Work with Senior Structural Engineer to provide structural research and analysis reports.Essential SkillsBachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent.EIT certification and on track towards PE; SE is a plus.2 or more years of post-graduate structural experience.Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.Knowledge of ACI, AISC, and IBC building codes, PCI & PTI Design Guidelines.Experience in structural design of concrete including precast, conventional, and post-tensioned cast-in-place, structural steel, and masonry.Experience with wind/seismic analysis, spread footing, and deep and shallow retention walls.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working on parking structures is preferred; experience in commercial, healthcare, industrial, and utilities is transferrable.Work Environment

The position is based in The Loop with a team size of 18 people in the Chicago office, divided into three teams: Architects (New Design), Restoration, and Studies/Research. Working hours are from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with flexible arrangements available. The role is 100% in-office to start, with the possibility of 1-2 remote days once established. You will be provided with a desktop computer and have access to laptops for travel. Projects are located throughout the US, with no current projects in Chicago. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $43.27
