Job Title: Structural Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will partake in project design efforts, ensuring conformance to quality control and quality assurance procedures, and will determine design criteria using relevant codes and standards. This position involves managing multiple projects concurrently, preparing detailed plans and construction documents, and coordinating with internal and external disciplines.

ResponsibilitiesPartake in project design efforts to complete designs and ensure conformance to quality control and quality assurance procedures.Determine design criteria using relevant codes and standards.Manage multiple projects concurrently.Prepare detailed plans and construction documents, engineering calculations, contract specifications, bid documents, and technical reports.Review shop drawings and RFIs as needed.Devise new approaches to problems encountered.Coordinate with internal and external disciplines to ensure understanding of scope and project deliverables.Ensure effective client and team communications.Attend project meetings and jobsite visits.Conduct on-site investigations and assessments of existing buildings as required for projects, which may require occasional overnight travel.Essential SkillsStructural analysisStructural engineeringRevitStructural designProfessional Engineer (PE) license or Engineering Intern (EI) certificationStructural steelAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in civil engineering (with structural emphasis) or related discipline.8+ years of experience in structural engineering of buildings.PE license in Minnesota is preferred.Experience in the design and analysis of complex structures.Solid understanding and application of structural engineering principles, practices, and concepts.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Revit, AutoCAD, and current structural engineering software (e.g., RAM, RISA, ADAPT).Knowledge of Smartsheet, Unanet CRM by Cosential, and Deltek Ajera software is a plus.Ability to navigate and apply national, state, and local codes along with ASCE standards.Work Environment

This is a hybrid role with 2 days in the office per week. We are an ESOP company, providing opportunities for partial ownership throughout your career. Our team enjoys working on sports and recreation projects, including many ice arenas throughout the country.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00
