Role Summary:
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our aerospace team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make an impact by performing static and dynamic structure analysis, reviewing materials and systems, and developing innovative solutions for space applications. Your contributions will help drive cutting-edge designs and technologies that push the boundaries of aerospace engineering.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Perform static and dynamic structure analysis to support aerospace projects.

Review material requirements and assess structural systems and subsystems to ensure compliance with specifications.

Select and apply technical data to drive design decisions, ensuring alignment with space application requirements.

Develop and release technical documents after detailed review with senior team members.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and refine designs, making necessary modifications for optimization.

Lead the development and execution of test programs to evaluate the effectiveness of design work.

Utilize tools like FEMAP, NASTRAN, and other software applications to support analysis and design tasks.

Innovate and elaborate on design concepts to achieve the most efficient, effective solutions for aerospace challenges.

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience in structural engineering, particularly in aerospace applications.

Strong background in static and dynamic structure analysis.

Experience with tools such as FEMAP, NASTRAN, or similar engineering software.

Ability to evaluate design requirements and develop solutions that meet stringent specifications.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and release technical documents.

Strong problem-solving skills and an innovative mindset.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.       

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working with space applications or space-related projects.

Advanced knowledge in materials selection for aerospace systems.

Experience with testing and evaluation of aerospace structures.

Pay Details: $51.47 to $64.53 per hour
