Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the structural design of products using drafting tools or computer-assisted design (CAD) software. This role involves a combination of business development, project management, and structural engineering.
ResponsibilitiesPerform and prepare structural designs and modifications of industrial structures and systems for one or multiple assigned projects.Conduct structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes, specifications, and standards (AISC, IBC, RMI, ASCE).Layout and detail portions of projects using schematic layouts and sales drawings.Collaborate with designers on geometry and sizes to meet client needs and direct them on appropriate materials and methods.Work with AutoCAD or Revit for structural drawing and design tasks.Ensure project plans are executed efficiently once they leave the engineer's hands.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Civil-Structural Engineering.Minimum of 4 years’ experience in structural engineering, preferably in industrial food, beverage, and chemical settings.Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.Must have EIT and the ability to complete a PE license within 12 months of hire.Proficiency in structural steel and reinforced concrete design.Familiarity with current codes including IBC, AISC, ACI, and ASCE.Experience with RISA and Enercalc Analysis Software.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with 3D scanning and industrial design.Self-motivated and able to take direction and run with a project.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Professional experience in diverse projects such as agriculture, manufacturing, power, mining, food, pet food, grain processing, and oilseeds.Work Environment
You will work in a professional office environment with the newest technology. The office is expanding to accommodate more team members. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
