Job Title: Structural Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a degreed engineer with 3+ years of experience in structural engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of plant site layouts and the overall design of multiple structural buildings and structures across the client site. You will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplined team of other engineers, suppliers, and stakeholders to coordinate the design of structural buildings and structures.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop plant site layouts and overall design for multiple structural buildings and structures.Plan, monitor, and direct complete engineering efforts through project life cycles.Develop and implement risk-informed performance-based (RIPB) design criteria.Assist other teams with risk and hazard assessments, such as probabilistic risk assessment (PRA), failure modes effects analysis (FMEA), and hazard and operability analysis (HAZOP).Work with construction teams to evaluate constructability, sequencing, material take-off, cost estimates, schedule development, and modularization concepts for the plant.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.3+ years of structural engineering experience.Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Civil 3D.Experience in analysis, design, evaluation, and/or construction of civil structures.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with site development, preparation, grading, roadway, survey, and soil mechanics is preferred but not required.Knowledge of civil design software packages such as InRoads and L-pile is preferred but not required.Understanding of civil engineering fundamentals including mechanics, materials, construction techniques, codes and standards, environmental and economic impact, and professional ethics.Knowledge of construction methods, codes and standards, quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) is preferred but not required.Work Environment

This position requires working in the office five days a week in Rockville, MD. You will be part of a growing organization focused on the cutting edge of clean energy systems development, supported by significant investment from major companies over the next several years, with expectations to double in size by the end of 2025.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $46.73 - $59.71/hr.
