Job Title: Structural Engineer II

Job Description

- Perform structural analysis for both lateral (wind and seismic) and gravity systems for buildings comprised of steel, concrete, wood, or masonry.

- Produce a comprehensive set of building and/or component calculations tailored to the project type and jurisdiction.

- Provide project design (e.g., drawing, detailing, specifications, calculations, processing, plans, estimates) under the direction of a staff member.

- Produce accurate CAD work that meets appearance and CAD standards.

- Interact with clients and represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.

- Meet budgets and deadlines.

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully remote position.

Work Environment

The work environment varies from small pods of desks to open layouts where you sit directly with your team. Local to San Diego or any of the office locations is fine. Most structural engineers are in SLO, with one drafter in Ventura. The company fosters a professional yet laid-back culture and values personalities that fit well with the team. Hours are roughly 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday, with a hybrid schedule (typically 3 days at home, 2 at the office). New hires usually work in the office full-time for the first few months. During summer, there is an alternative schedule with half-day Fridays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00
