Specific Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): + Have an in-depth understanding and ability to analyze and design according to current design codes, design criteria, and structural mechanics + Design of Permanent Structures such as bridges, sign foundations, moment slabs, MSE Walls, etc. + Design of Temporary Structures including, but not limit to: + Formwork/Falsework Design + Erection, Demolition, and Heavy Lift Planning + Support of Excavation Systems + Load Rating and Evaluation of Existing Structures + Temporary Bridges and Work Trestles + Fall Protection Systems + Barge Analysis + On-Site Design Engineering Support and Inspections + Coordinate with Project Engineers and Project Managers to resolve issues. + Assist with material and shop drawing submittals. Position Requirements: + Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree or higher in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college of university (Master’s Degree or greater is preferred) + GPA above 3.0 preferred + 0-2 years of relevant engineering experience + Experience with permanent and temporary structures, construction engineering, or construction labor is a plus + Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or the ability to do so within the first year of employment + Strong understanding of constructability and academic knowledge of structural engineering + Experience with engineering design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, RISA-3D, MathCAD, Sky Civ, etc. + Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. + Self-starter and ability to work unsupervised. + Team player and self-motivated to be successful. + Legally able to work in the US.
