About the Opportunity 

Our Structural Engineering team tackles highly technical and complex challenges across a range of projects, particularly within the nuclear and defence sectors. We specialise in delivering precise, well-analysed design packages that address dynamic loads from hazards like seismic events, blasts, and impacts. As a Structural Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and technical excellence of our designs, applying in-depth structural analysis, and adhering to ACI and Eurocode standards. You will have the opportunity to delivering detailed design packages, including reinforced concrete, steel frames, steel connections and other structural elements, all while driving quality and innovation in design execution. Key Responsibilities\: 

Checking and Reviewing Work – Take responsibility for the rigorous checking and verification of structural designs, calculations, and analysis to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Structural Analysis and Design – Perform detailed structural analysis, utilising software tools and methods to assess various load conditions and structural behaviours. Design Package Delivery – Lead the development and detailing of structural designs, including specific tasks like steel frame connection development, ensuring high standards of documentation and quality. Application of ACI/Eurocodes – Apply your knowledge of ACI and Eurocode standards to ensure all designs meet relevant codes and practices, adapting where necessary to the specific project needs. Cross-discipline Collaboration – Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery and support broader team goals. Mentorship and Development – Provide guidance and technical support to junior engineers, ensuring they develop their skills in structural analysis and design. Quality and Safety Focus – Contribute to a strong culture of quality control, safety in design, and operational excellence across all deliverables.  *

Skills and Requirements 

Extensive knowledge and practical experience in structural analysis, with a proven ability to apply ACI and Eurocode standards in design work. Strong experience in checking and validating structural designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Proven capability in delivering detailed design packages, including steel frame connections and other structural detailing tasks in both concrete and steel Familiarity with dynamic load conditions, including seismic, blast, and impact, and their influence on structural integrity. An accredited degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (MEng preferred), with a solid understanding of structural theory and design principles.
