The Peoria, IL office of Dewberry is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2025. This position performs assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.

ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will work on a wide variety of projects including schools, health care centers, higher education facilities, office buildings, industrial buildings, commercial buildings, structural evaluations, civil/site structures, and water/wastewater treatment facilities.
Required Skills & Required Experience Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering is required (focus in Structural Engineering preferred)Applicants should have exposure to related Civil/Structural engineering design, strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.Assist with preparation of civil/structural engineering calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications to meet project requirements. Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel required.Don’t meet every single requirement? Salary RangeThe hourly range for this position is $17.20-$28.20.
Program InformationSummer Intern Program
During the summer intern program, interns gain hands-on project experience, develop technical skills, and put their classroom knowledge into action. Our interns are assigned meaningful work and are given the opportunity to work on projects similar to what they would be engaging with as a full-time employee.
