We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer with a minimum of 6 years of experience to join our existing civil engineering practice in Eugene, Oregon and grow our structural engineering group in the Eugene office. While KPFF already does a significant amount of structural work in Eugene, the goal is to grow a local presence and capitalize on even more opportunities in that market. The Eugene structural group will work closely with, and be supported by, our structural division in Portland. The successful candidate will lead our structural engineering efforts, meeting with potential clients, providing technical expertise, project management, and mentorship to a team of engineers. Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and grow the structural engineering team by assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring project deadlines are met. Oversee the design and analysis of structural systems for various projects; including commercial, residential, and industrial buildings, as well as infrastructure projects. Provide technical expertise and guidance on complex structural engineering issues. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop work and generate innovative and cost-effective structural solutions. Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development through coaching, training, and education. Participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development activities as needed. Actively engage in business development and marketing efforts.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Oregon required; Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred. Minimum of 6 years of experience in structural engineering, with a strong background in building design and analysis. Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects from concept to completion. Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, and other industry standard software. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve project goals. Commitment to quality, attention to detail, and continuous improvement. Willing to work in the Eugene office. Remote work will not be considered.Benefits:
