Structural Heart- SI- Congenital Clinical Sales Specialist W. NY: Rochester-Syracuse

We lead markets by providing solutions with improved risk/benefit profiles compared to existing best therapies. **The Congenital Clinical Sales Specialist will support Abbott percutaneous treatment options for atrial septal defects (ASD), patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) and ventricular septal defects (VSD).** The Clinical Sales Specialist provides clinical and sales support through procedure coverage, education and market development within the region. In this role, the Clinical Specialist will train physicians, and ancillary personnel on the use of Structural Heart products and the importance of our therapies. The CSS will also communicate product, clinical, and market data to appropriate Abbott personnel to support the company’s efforts to develop products and implement product marketing strategies. This position may be hired at different level, depending on the experience of the candidate. This position may require travel in excess of 50% of the time. **WHAT YOU’LL DO** + Collaborate with the Territory Manager and Region Director to provide customer procedure coverage ensuring best clinical outcomes. + Serve as the primary resource in the cath lab for procedure preparation, troubleshooting, proctoring, and education. + Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products. Inform customers of the latest product, therapy, and technology developments in the industry. + Actively engage in clinical, procedural, and technical discussions to convey the benefits of Abbott products and therapies. + This role requires a strong clinical orientation with the ability to influence a variety of clinician specialties and personality types. + Active participation at industry conferences and Abbott functions. **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING** **Required** + BS/BA or equivalent experience. + 6+ years of related cardiovascular work experience **Preferred** + Degree in life sciences or medical training (RN, RT, NP, etc.). + Cath lab experience (wires, sheaths, catheters, etc.). + Cardiac echo and fluoroscopic imaging interpretation experience + Medical device industry experience + Experience in Structural Heart, Electrophysiology, Radiology **WHAT WE OFFER** At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
