As we continue to grow our business and enhance our service offerings locally, we are eagerly seeking a highly motivated and technically competent Structural Technologist to join our Fredericton team, in our brand-new office space at 140 Carleton Street - which provides a bright, vibrant, highly functional, technologically advanced, and collaborative working environment.
In this role, you will have the ability to collaborate seamlessly with EXP’s multidisciplinary team from within the region and across the company on some of Atlantic Canada’s largest and most exciting infrastructure projects! If desired, you will also be given the opportunity to contribute to unique and challenging projects outside of Atlantic Canada as well.
Your Role & Responsibilities:
Create structural 3D models and engineering drawings for a variety of new buildings and/or renovations spanning the healthcare, education, industrial, commercial, and municipal sectors. Undertake field investigations to assess existing structure condition and confirm compliance with design drawings and specifications. Collaborate with technical staff from across other architecture and engineering disciplines. Generate material quantities and cost estimates. Prepare presentation graphics and report figures. Understand and adhere to EXP and client drawing standards.Qualifications & Experience:
5+ years' progressive experience working as a Structural Technologist. College diploma from and accredited Civil Engineering Technology program. Registered, or eligible to register, as PTech with the New Brunswick Society of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists. Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D. Thorough knowledge of building systems and detailing, structural standards, building sciences, construction technologies and practices. Ability to work independently. Strong work ethic, communication skills, and attention to detail.What EXP Can Offer
