Job Description
We are seeking two field welders to create custom built structures in our fab shop located just outside the State College, PA area as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of experience in welding, specializing in structural steel. This role involves both in-shop fabrication and field welding assignments. All candidates should be able to lay out their own work and set up their own station. In addition, must be able to read blueprints.
ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG and Stick welding processes to create custom builds out of structural steel.Read and interpret welding blueprints to prepare metals and materials per project description.Operate machines in the shop to fabricate, form, and produce precision metal parts.Travel to job sites to perform field welding per project description, can be up to an hour away from their shop just outside State College, PA.Inspect welds for defects and ensure compliance with industry standards.Perform routine maintenance on machines and welding equipment.Maintain a clean and organized work environment.Essential Skills3-5+ years of structural welding experience.Proficiency in MIG and Stick welding in all positions.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for field assignments.Work EnvironmentMonday - Friday, 7 AM - 3 PM, with overtime available.The work involves completing custom structural steel builds in a clean fabrication shop alongside a small team of shop hands.Traveling to client sites to help install competed builds per client request.If you are interested please apply and or call 717 884 1092 - NatePay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $35.00/hr.
