Prime Air is seeking an experienced Structural Analysis Engineer who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. This person must be comfortable working with a team of top-notch developers and collaborating with our research teams. We’re looking for people who innovate and love solving hard problems. Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing full air vehicle or drone structures, as well as detail parts and mechanical systems. Practical knowledge of prototype design as well as production run manufacturing methods as it pertains to stress analysis and design trade offs is a plus.

The Mechanical and/or Aerospace Stress Analyst will be responsible for:
- Development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design
- Guiding product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance
- Modeling and measurement of airframe and system vibration
- Leading development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
- Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied
- Interdisciplinary collaboration to execute product designs from concept to production, including design, prototyping, validation, testing and certification
- Interfacing with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and outside vendors to ensure a smooth transition to production
