As a Structures Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Working alongside a leading pool of submarine structures expertise across the defence sector with fantastic opportunities to learn and continue your professional development.
Day-to-day, you’ll work on a wide range of projects on complex assets and structural analysis. Structural assessment using hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis Technical investigations and feasibility studies Trials and testing Management and assessment of structural defects Structural safety certification
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Structures Engineer
This role will suit candidates with a background in Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths; looking for a change in direction and a strong desire to develop themselves, as well as people with existing experience within the defence engineering sector. The candidate will ideally have experience in structural analysis and design. (advantageous) An analytical approach to problem solving.
Qualifications for the Structures Engineer
Degree qualified in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths discipline ) or equivalent experience
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
