**Job Title: Structures Mechanic**
**Job Description**
The Structures Mechanic alters, repairs, replaces, and fabricates sheet metal repairs for aircraft structures, such as wings, fuselage, floats, rigging, and surface controls. This role requires the use of hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, rivet gun, and drills.
**Responsibilities**
+ Fabricate, install, and alter sheet metal and structural components in compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, service letters, structural repair manuals, maintenance manuals, and AC43-13.
+ Collaborate with the inspection department to ensure compliance with airworthiness requirements.
+ Ensure maintenance activities are properly signed off daily on repair station discrepancy sheets and checklists.
+ Read and interpret manufacturers' and STC holder’s manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of altering, repairing, or replacing aircraft or components.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2+ years of sheet metal technician experience
+ Fabrication experience
+ Riveting experience
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ A&P license
+ GA experience

**Work Environment**
The work environment is usually indoors in the shop or hangar, with some exposure to inclement weather when testing and maintaining aircraft. The position is based at a large FBO facility that provides maintenance at the South St. Paul Airport. The standard shift is 1st shift, Monday to Friday, 6:30am - 3:00pm, normally 40-45 hours a week with potential for overtime.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of South Saint Paul, Minnesota.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00
Very clean shop, with a small crew. Lots of hands on training, and opportunity to move up.
