**Job Title: Structures Mechanic**
+ **Local (non per diem pay): $30 - 32 hour DOE**
+ **Non-local (per diem pay): $31.25/hr, $166/day per diem (total comp 52), up to 5 days per diem, OT $56/hr**
**Job Description**
Working in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment, the Structures Technician will disassemble, repair, fabricate parts as necessary, reassemble, install, and document maintenance actions on heavy-lift helicopters, primarily Boeing CH-47 airframes (Model 107, Model 234 firefighting and heavy lift utility). This role primarily involves supporting full rebuilds and sometimes fleet heavy maintenance checks.
**Responsibilities**
+ Review task card, read and interpret maintenance manual and blueprints.
+ Use hand tools, power tools, and machine tools to remove, inspect, fabricate replacement parts, repair, and reassemble.
+ Document maintenance actions accurately.
+ Frequently remove and install standard and blind rivets.
+ Perform drilling, reaming, and riveting to close tolerance with precision.
**Essential Skills**
+ 4+ years of experience in aircraft sheet metal structures repair.
+ Experience fabricating parts.
+ Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machine tools.
+ Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and blueprints.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience repairing structures of CH-47 airframes preferred.
+ Willingness to submit to testing, including installing fasteners and performing precise drilling and bending tasks.
+ Basic tools required, with more specialty sheet metal tools being advantageous.
+ Understanding of 'Bend Allowance' or 'Bend Deduction' concepts.
+ US Person per client ITAR regulation.

**Work Environment**
Heavy lift helicopter fleet MRO and rebuild hangars. Initial 5-day schedule (8am - 4:30pm) for several weeks, then transitioning to a 4-day schedule (6am - 4:30pm), either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday.

This is a Contract position based out of Aurora, Oregon.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $52.00/hr.
