You will play a crucial role in driving our business's profitability and competitiveness by providing accurate, timely, and insightful pricing recommendations. **Job Description** Based on education, experience and interview, this opportunity will be filled at either title in the Structuring Analyst job family. For this posting, minimum requirements are stated at the lower grade. Increased expectations are at the higher grade. **Structuring Analyst (grade 7)** **Structuring Analyst Associate (grade 6)** = bachelor's degree + one (1) year of related experience **Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:** - **Market Analysis** : Monitor and analyze energy market trends, including forward curve cost components, regulatory changes, and competitor pricing strategies, to identify pricing opportunities and risks. - **Pricing Strategy Development** : Develop pricing models, strategies, and frameworks for wholesale and retail energy products, taking into account market conditions, customer risk profile, and profitability objectives. - **Pricing Optimization:** Evaluate and refine existing pricing structures to improve competitiveness and profitability, considering factors such as cost structures, market positioning and risk appetite. **- Data Analysis** : Collect, organize, and analyze large datasets related to energy markets, customer behavior, and pricing performance to derive actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making. - **Pricing Proposal Generation** : Prepare comprehensive pricing proposals for wholesale and retail customers, incorporating detailed analysis, cost breakdowns, and justifications for pricing recommendations and assumptions. - **Contract Analysis:** Review and analyze energy supply contracts and RFPs, identifying pricing risks, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance and optimize profitability and appropriately value risk. - **Collaborative Engagement** : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Trading, Risk Management, Settlements, and Operations, to align pricing strategies with business goals and drive implementation of pricing initiatives. - **Performance Monitoring** : Monitor pricing performance against targets, track market response to pricing changes, and provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management. - **Industry Knowledge** : Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging pricing trends to anticipate market shifts and adjust pricing strategies accordingly. - **Process Improvement** : Continuously identify opportunities to enhance pricing processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness. **Minimum Requirements:** + **Bachelor's degree** in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. + **One to three (1-3) years** in energy markets, pricing analysis, or a related field, preferably in the wholesale and retail energy sectors. + Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and analyze complex data sets. + Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and techniques, such as **Excel, SQL, Python, or R.** + Knowledge of energy market fundamentals, pricing structures, and regulatory frameworks. + Understanding of energy industry operations, wholesale market mechanisms, and retail pricing strategies. + Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. + Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex pricing concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. + Strong business acumen and the ability to think strategically about pricing decisions. + Familiarity with energy **trading and risk management** (ETRM) systems is a plus. **INITIAL POSITION / BASE SALARY FUNDING: ($70,961 - $104,268).
