Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking Student Account Customer Service Representatives – Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities include:

Serve as one of the Tuition & Billing Services Specialists. Respond to inquiries regarding but not limited to bill payment, tuition & related charges, Florida Prepaid inquiries, and collection of accounts with a goal of 100% customer satisfaction.General office duties to support Tuition & Billing services, including by not limited to data entry, electronic filing, and scanning.Participate in presentations for orientations, special trainings, and campus events as needed.Respond to high-volume customer/student calls and emails and assist customers/students face-to-face in the front office as needed.Provide customers/students with a clear understanding of their student accounts and deadlines.Provide supervisor with error corrections or discrepancies as necessary.Process customer/student transactions and respond to inquiries in a responsive, timely, and accurate manner.Participate in ongoing training to increase skill level and productivity.Assist with other ad hoc projects and duties as assigned by leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED with 0-1 years of experience in customer service and administrative tasks.

Must have strong oral and written communication skills.

Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment, handle a high call/email inquiry volume, and display a
high level of respect and kindness in all customer service interactions.

Bi-lingual in English and Spanish are a plus.

Salary:

$15.00 - $18.00 an hour.

Monday- Friday. Variable hours based on department need between 9 am – 6 pm. Maximum hours per week is 20 hours.

Temporary positions are not established positions and are paid from OPS funds. Temporary positions are usually not eligible for benefits and retirement; however, they may be eligible for health insurance coverage depending on the average hours worked per week. They provide full-time or part-time employment in an exempt or non-exempt employment situation based on job duties and salary in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Temporary positions do not have layoff rights and may be terminated without prior notice.
