Objective Performs a variety of tasks and functions to support the Kruse Center (Recreation, Fitness, and Athletics Facility). To assist in the day-to-day management of the Kruse Center for the benefit of the members and the college community. This position is responsible for supervision of member services, cardio/weight room, athletic events, intramural sports, and other recreation activities. Principal Accountabilities 1. Provides coverage from 1 p.m.-10 p.m. Early or late morning shifts as needed. May need to work weekends, depending on the needs of the facility. Principal Accountabilities 2. Monitors activities in the Kruse Center, monitor the front counter, non-game days will be responsible for the cardio room and the gymnasium and provide crisis intervention as needed. Principal Accountabilities 3. Coordinates game day management operations with the Coordinator of Campus Recreation for all home athletic events, including game management, and appropriately staffing games. Principal Accountabilities 4. Organizes facility set up and tear down for post-season home tournaments and outside groups utilizing college athletic facilities. Principal Accountabilities 5. Assists the Coordinator of Campus Recreation with Recreation Sports/Intramural tournaments. Assist the Coordinator of Campus Recreation with fitness/wellness activities, including group exercise classes. Principal Accountabilities 6. Assists the Coordinator of Campus Recreation to include such tasks as scheduling facilities, outside vendors, documenting incidents with building security, and setting up equipment. Principal Accountabilities 7. Assists the Coordinator of Campus Recreation with recreational facilities during special events conducted by groups renting the facilities, to include safety and security of college property, ensure proper use and care of gymnasium floors, etc. Principal Accountabilities 8. Maintains Kruse Center supplies, equipment, and materials in support of athletic and recreation programs and advises Coordinator of Campus Recreation in advance of program equipment and supply needs. Principal Accountabilities 9. Collects building memberships and prepares routine and complex program plans and requirements well in advance for budgetary recommendations; prepares reports describing and evaluating programs at completion of activity and identifies methods and areas to improve. Principal Accountabilities Monitors, posts, and provides oversight for all social media accounts related to campus recreation, intramurals, fitness programs, and other events and activities on campus. Principal Accountabilities 11. Attends all relevant college meetings, trainings, workshops, and departmental events. Principal Accountabilities 12. Assist with supervision of student workers in the absence of or when directed by the Director of Student Leadership & Activities or the Coordinator of Campus Recreation. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in education, recreation, physical education, kinesiology, or related field. Minimum Qualifications General knowledge of recreational sports, arts and cultural activities. Minimum Qualifications Procedures and equipment related to recreational activities, and rules governing common sports and games. Minimum Qualifications Standard safety practices. Minimum Qualifications Currently certified in AED/CPR and First Aid or must complete certifications within 2 months of employment start date. Minimum Competencies

Preferred Qualifications Masters Degree Preferred Qualifications One to two years of successful work experience in a college/university environment within Student Life, Recreation, Student Services, and/or Athletics.
