Student Assistant, Bike Mechanic - Student Government

Job Description:

A student assistant is needed as a Bike Repair Mechanic for Student Government to work 10-20 hours a week The employer is looking for a customer service oriented, professional, and detail oriented person to aid in the daily operations of SG Bike Repair. Individuals with prior experience as a mechanic or working with bicycles preferred.

Specific Responsibilities

Assist in opening and closing the Bike Repair shop. Assemble, inspect, maintain, and perform routine repairs on customers’ bicycles. Assess customer needs and confirm service and repairs meet those needs. Assist with maintaining equipment and ensuring a clean, secure and safe work environment. Various other duties as assigned.

This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.
