**Position Description:**
A student enrolled in at least six hours in an institution of higher education other than TTU, employed to perform work as assigned by supervisor. Performs responsible and complex duties associated with a specialized function of a section of clerical employees. Duties may be generally described as: planning, fundraising, mailing, assigning, coordinating, directing, scheduling, evaluating, verifying, training, and processing of information. A thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and methods for the area of responsibility is required. Initiative and independent judgments are frequently exercised in formulating procedures or methods, and in program coordination. Work is performed under general supervision within University policies and procedures. Job performance is based upon overall operation effectiveness.

**Major/Essential Functions:**
This is a position for various areas in the Institutional Advancement (IA) Office. Student Assistants will be working closely with the Marketing and Communications and Development teams. Student Assistants will also perform day-to-day tasks as needed but not limited to, planning, drafting correspondence and other documents independently, sending and receiving mail and fundraising. Students will be hired according to personal skills and knowledge.
+ IA student assistants will provide administrative support for the front office/reception area.
+ Responsible for uploading confidential documents via various platforms/databases. Duties to include, filing, placing orders, copying, faxing, and other tasks assigned by Directors/administrative personnel.
+ Responsibilities include increasing student outreach, updating event calendars and website, social media content creation and management, surveys, and other duties as assigned.
+ Maintain cleanliness and an inventory log of all items in the storage unit for IA and determine reorders/refills as necessary.
+ Collect all financial expenditure receipts for the department, scan into PDF files, and assist with supporting documentation files as needed.
+ Maintain copiers, printers, scanners, laminators, and PC, phone, fax, other equipment by stocking with paper, adding toner, clearing paper jams, cleaning screens, etc.
+ Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes
+ Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution
+ Perform all other duties as assigned

+ Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision during evening and weekend hours when necessary
