Position Availability: Position Title: Student Assistant for Student Equity, Access, and Title IX Requisition Number: 0406073491 Location New York City Position Type: Student Department: Provost/Provost's Office Responsibilities: Student Equity, Access & Title IX (SEAT) Student Assistants will help with Student Disability Services (SDS) to provide essential accommodations to New School students with disabilities and assist Title IX with promotion of prevention efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES General office duties such as data entry, filing, and collection, and photocopying/scanning, as well as scheduling appointments and tests for the Office(s) Informing students and/or parents of SDS and Title IX policies and procedures Responding to email and/or phone inquiries Taking and providing notes for students in their classes or being a testing scribe and/or reader Assistance with promotion/student compliance with the online sexual assault prevention training (Vector Solutions) Work independently and as part of a team to coordinate, implement, and assess sexual violence prevention training materials Coordinate with administrative elements of the University (e.g., Title IX Office) to address student concerns and evaluate ways to promote equality and justice on campus. Provide content for and help promote our social media Assistance with office projects, as needed


WORK MODEHybrid/Split – Employees hired for this position have regularly scheduled, consistent percentage of time on campus (ex 1-4x/week) and also work some of the time remotely.
SALARY RANGE$16-18/hour
Minimum Qualifications: Ability to take detailed and comprehensive notes (for note-takers) Excellent customer service and communication skills, which include a positive attitude, professional manner, ability to work efficiently and effectively during high traffic times, and ability to work independently or with a team Reliability Working knowledge of MS Office, Google Docs, and Starfish, Ability to learn Accommodate data management system FWS Award Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree Job Family: Student Disability Services Posting Date: 08/28/2024 Closing Date: Open Until Filled Yes Supplemental Questions
