Position Availability: Position Title: Student Assistant Specialist, Event Marketing and Management, Office of the Provost Requisition Number: 0406073503 Location New York City Position Type: Student Department: Provost/Provost's Office Responsibilities: The Office of the Provost seeks a responsible, detail-oriented individual to collaborate with and support event marketing and public programs. Students will be part of a cohort designed to leverage the skills and energy of student workers to support the daily work and advance key initiatives and goals of the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. General responsibilities include creating PO event splash pages and hubs, creating flyers and posts to publicize events, supporting setup and break down, and capturing content for social media and archives. The applicant must possess strong organizational skills and be punctual, logical, and self-sufficient. 

This position provides a flexible work schedule with a high expectation of reliability. Must be available to work at least 10 hours/week either on campus or remotely depending on the project.
RESPONSIBILITIES Work directly with Director of Strategic University Initiatives to support internal and public programs  Create digital flyers and content pages for events on Splash Attend and create social media content at events to highlight the work of the PO Provide logistical and hands on support for PO events including setup and breakdown  Assist with maintenance of event pantry and inventory  Participate in mentoring and professional development opportunities  Additional project based tasks as needed


Details:10-20 hrs per week $20/hour

HOURLY RATE $20 per hour Minimum Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Suite and Canva and a well developed aesthetic. Ability to adapt designs in various formats for print and web. Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively and independently Demonstrated professionalism and discretion Preferred Qualifications: PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPreference will be given to students who have Federal Work Study awards.
