Position Title: Student Asst Specialist - Federal Work Study - Communications & Social Media Outreach Requisition Number: 0406073492 Location New York City Position Type: Student Department: Provost/Provost's Office Responsibilities: The Student Assistant will work with the Creative Program Director of “Creatively Speaking @ The Institute” to help with a range of communications work for the Fall online screening program and the Spring 2025 Earth Day Event, from writing and design of posts to weekly social media posting.

Hourly Rate: $21 per hour.
Work Mode: Remote. Minimum Qualifications: • Currently enrolled at The New School and granted Federal Work Study
• Work efficiently in a time-sensitive environment and meet deadlines consistently
• Possess strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and professional demeanor
• Ability to communicate in a clear, personable manner with partners
• Must be able to work independently and have a proactive approach to work
• Experience responding to emails reliably and in a timely manner
• Must be detail-oriented, self-sufficient, punctual and dependable
• Work with the Creative Program Director to coordinate social media outreach and content development
• Create, schedule, and post social media content
• Experience with Canva, Photoshop, InDesign and/or Illustrator Preferred Qualifications: • Previous experience in basic website management
• Familiarity with MailChimp type software
