STARTING RATE: $17.25 + $2.00 SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL IF APPLICABLE

The Nurse Connect Program is designed for nursing students to learn beyond the classroom in a paid externship arrangement. This program will provide the opportunity to advance your knowledge, develop your clinical skills, sharpen your critical thinking skills and reinforce your future success in the nursing field.  Blessing Health System is committed to providing our nursing students with an excellent learning opportunity and immersive experience under the mentorship of a professional acute care RN.  This program is another opportunity to provide students with exposure to different areas of the Health System to find the right fit after graduation. 

Job Requirements:

Qualified candidate has completed first round of clinicals through an accredited nursing program. Valid CPR/BLS Certification throughout program participation dates

Job Summary and Responsibilities:

Provides direct patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN preceptor. Assists preceptor with developing, implementing and evaluating plan of care.

Utilizes nursing process to plan, direct and provide safe nursing care working under the supervision of assigned preceptor mentor RN Develops a collaborative plan of care based on patient assessment. Interprets data and implements appropriate interventions. Follows specific standards of care and policies relative to area assigned. Identifies patient and family education needs and works with mentor to coordinate appropriate educational resources. Participates in educational activities related to Nurse Connect Program including unit specific educational information
