Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Student Financial Aid Counselor for the Office of the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs (EVPAA) – Office of Financial Aid.

Under supervision of the Financial Aid Supervisor, this position provides administrative services for the processing of financial aid and counseling services of all students enrolled in academic programs at RBHS. The Student Financial Aid Counselor formulates financial aid award packages using established federal, state and/or university policies. determines and approves financial aid eligibility using latest online technology and is responsible for complete accounts of financial aid records.

Among the key duties of this position are the following: Counsels students, parents and outside groups in financial aid program eligibility, online applications and loan processing. Complies with current regulations of all federal, state, private and university programs. Conducts individual and group federally mandated entrance and exit interview programs. Prepares and presents debt management and budgetary workshops to all students. Assists Campus Director and Associate Campus Director in preparation of various federal, state, university and private reports. Members of internal and external committees as determined by the Campus Director or Associate Campus Director. Acts as liaison with various internal departments as appropriate. Recommends and administers policies and procedures for the administration of financial aid and the day-to-day activities of the financial aid office. Responsible for resolving any related issues as a result of the letter generation process. Prepares financial aid correspondence in all venues when necessary. Represents RBHS at professional meetings, seminars and/or conferences as assigned. Provides assistance and guidance to support staff. Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Day Work Arrangement Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date.
