Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Student Intern.
In this role, the part time student research intern will work with the study team on a Bloomberg funded study evaluating the effectiveness of added sugar warnings in restaurants in New York City. This position involves conducting in person and online compliance audits of eligible restaurants e g Starbucks McDonalds and third party ordering platforms e g Grubhub Uber Eats and interacting with the research teams at NYU and University of Illinois Chicago.
Job Responsibilities:
Project knowledge Demonstrate thorough knowledge of our research study study rationale and processes of the study Data collection conduct compliance audits in physical restaurants restaurant applications and third party ordering platforms; record the presence and placement of warning labels on foods and beverages within physical restaurants; record nutrition price and marketing information of foods and beverages; converse with restaurant employees as necessary Collaboration Engage in weekly team meetings and supervision Other research related activities as neededMinimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Applicants must be enrolled in a degree program Background and/or coursework in public health or related research. Ability to travel to restaurants in NYC independently NYU will provide travel reimbursement. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Proficiency in using Microsoft Suite Excel Outlook Word Effective oral written interpersonal and time management skills.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $16.00 – $20.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
