Description: Intern will support revenue cycle leadership with departmental priorities and strategic initiatives to improve revenue capture and streamline operations. Focus areas include patient access, financial clearance, denial management, billing and collections, and self-pay functions. Activities will include project management tasks including scheduling meetings, developing materials, taking notes, tracking deliverables, and facilitating communications. Intern will also support analytics teams including identifying data sources, reconciling data sets, cleaning and preparing data, checking results and preparing presentations.
Position Objective:
Support Luminis Health initiatives to align revenue cycle shared services with the goals and objectives of the hospitals, clinics, physician groups and other areas providing services to our patients and our communities.

Provide project management support to department and multi-disciplinary revenue cycle teams including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, summarizing decisions, tracking deliverables, and assisting with team communicationsAssist with the identification of existing revenue cycle policies and procedures and the development of standardized policies and procedures.Support the role-out of new policies and procedures and related training materials emanating from revenue cycle operational and strategic initiatives.Assist analysts and business users with data-related needs including identifying and documenting data sources, assessing data quality, cleaning data sets, validating results, and preparing powerpoints and other presentations for teams and leadership.Support revenue cycle administrative needs including assisting with town hall planning, drafting department updates, maintaining organizational charts, and communicating with hospitals, physician billing, and other departments.Educational/Experience Requirements:Be 18 years of age or olderAttend an accredited educational institution, including, but not limited to, trade school, technical or vocational institute, community college, four-year college or university, or graduate schoolHave demonstrated experience in a previous summer job or volunteer role that requires interacting with individuals and/or groups in a professional capacityRequired License/Certifications:
