Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Student Intern.

We seek an intrepid student intern to help with recruitment and field data collection for this clinical trial. This is a great field data collection opportunity for a public health student interested in air quality and issues with blood pressure.
The project, Air Pressure NYC, is a randomized clinical trial measuring the efficacy of portable air cleaners (also known as air filters) to improve indoor air quality and lower systolic blood pressure among NYC adults with stable high blood pressure residing in public housing (NYCHA).
Our study asks participants to measure their blood pressure twice a day in their homes with air cleaners running. Some residents will have air cleaners without filters so that we can measure how well the air filters work. We will also measure the amount of air pollutants in the air to see how well the air filters clean the air in residents homes.
In efforts to optimize recruitment, we have ongoing partnerships with community-based organization(s) that have strong presence in communities like the Lower East Side and other public housing developments to provide services and programs for NYCHA residents.
