This role offers hands-on experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, and business development. Our interns perform a variety of tasks, so no day is the same. We take your skills into consideration when creating projects so these items will help you gain expertise in your field of study. You will also work closely with the Intern Manager to develop an understanding of how UF’s Incubator works and what it takes to aspire higher. The ideal candidate will have an interest in entrepreneurship, innovation, and be eager to gain practical experience across various business practices. The role will be responsible for the following: · Conducting research on industry trends, startup ecosystems, and competitive landscapes. Tracking advances in new technology and the status of current/graduated companies. · Prepare meeting briefs, reports, and summaries of prospective companies for the leadership team. · Analyze and organize data to support decision-making and strategy development. · Assist in creating and refining marketing materials, presentations, and promotional content. · Support the team with various administrative tasks. Qualities: Strong desire to learn, seek out, and apply new knowledge, methods, and information. Desire to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with others.  Skills/Abilities: Proficient time management skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with excellent attention to detail. Strong oral and written communication skills, especially proof-reading. Ability to distinguish and properly manage confidential information and protected employment data. Success using the Microsoft Office suite, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Preference will go to students who have availability over the upcoming summer semester. Additional preference will go to students who can commit to at least 1 year in the position. Expected Salary: $15 /hour Minimum Requirements: This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 15 hours per week. Successful pre-employment screening including a background check.
