General Summary
TheStudent Intern – Emergency Managementinternship is designed for students interested in developing skills inemergency management, disaster recovery, and preparedness. The student interns will work alongside seasoned professionals, contributing to real-world projects that aim to enhance resilience and emergency readiness in the water sector.
Essential Functions
The intern will engage in a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
• Assisting in the development and implementation of emergency preparedness plans.
• Supporting disaster response operations, including logistical coordination and data analysis.
• Participating in internal outreach programs to educate the personnel on emergency and disaster readiness.
• Conducting research to support program improvement.
• Compiling and presenting reports on trends and hazards in the emergency management space.

Perform other related duties, as required.

• Proficient in MS Office products, specifically Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Minimum Education, Experience Requirements
Completion of one year or more (1+) of college-level coursework
Additional Requirements
Proficient in the use of MS Office applications
Preferences
Some experience or interest in emergency management
