Essential Functions + Supports the Project Manager in one or more of the following: managing planning, design or construction projects such as treatment plants, pumping stations, transmission projects, or other facilities; + Management of projects to deliver organizational, program, or corporate benefits and improvements + Assisting a senior project manager with larger projects + Under the guidance of the Project Manager, consults and works with team members from various internal organizations, in the administration of consultant, Architect/Engineer (A/E), and construction contracts and their associated procurement mechanisms + Supports project manager in reviewing project technical, management, and budgetary plans ensuring project compliance with corporate policy and technical specifications + Assists in reviewing and approving monthly and final payments to A/E’s, contractors, and vendors + Participates in project teams, including management review, re-engineering, and policy groups + Assists with reviews, negotiations, and finalization of contracts and change orders + Assists with preparation or monitoring of project schedules using PERT , CPM , Bar Chart, or other methods + Participates in meetings and assists with reviewing and preparing meeting notes + Assists with development and implementation of project management strategic plans and resultant monitoring mechanisms Other Functions Perform other duties as required. Work Environment And Physical Demands + Ability toclimb ladders, and work in confined spaces and elevated locations + Ability tolift minimum of 50 lbs, and utilize appropriate safety equipment and procedures effectively + Ability to hear audible alarms and abnormal equipment noises + Ability to visually inspect equipment and processes any time of day or night + Good physical condition, particularly absence of respiratory and back problems Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities • Good verbal and written communication skills • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and AutoCAD • Strong computer knowledge and organizational skills • Positive/ambitious attitude, ability to effectively interact with stakeholders such as consultants, contractors and internal staff Minimum Education, Experience Requirements College student pursuing a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or other related discipline Additional Requirements Must be able to use MS Office applications with proficiency Preferences Knowledge of water and wastewater systems principles.
