Position Summary Information
General Summary
TheStudent Intern – IT Applications Developmentwill assist with building new applications, automating repetitive tasks, supporting database operations, working with document management solutions and enhancing existing applications.
Essential Functions
+ Assists IT staff by provide technical support to Commission staff
+ Ability to assist staff in developing and maintain applications and databases
+ Ability to work within a cross disciplinary team on IT projects
+ Ability to research COTS products and recommend solutions· Participate in project meetings on tech brainstorming, status, requirements gathering and analysis, etc.
Other Functions
+ Uses programming languages (Python, JavaScript, frameworks JAVA , JSP , Swift, Android) to build applications
+ AI and Machine Learning to build innovative proof of concept applications.
+ Knowledge in computer, database, and IT applications
+ Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Software and oracle database experience helpful

Basic understanding of computer programming and databases
Minimum Education, Experience Requirements
Completion of at least 2+ years of college towards degree in information system, Information technology, or computer science
Additional Requirements
Proficient in using MS Office applications
Preferences
+ Coursework in GIS ( ESRI preferred)
+ Coursework or experience in software programming using JAVA / Python / React.js, Bootstrap or similar technology
+ JavaScript framework / programming languages
+ Coursework or experience in automation – Microsoft flow / automate, UI Path, Automation Anywhere
