performing specific duties that support patient care which includes direct and indirect patient care activities that are essential to providing a safe and efficient care environment This position performs selected interventions and activities that contribute to providing comprehensive care to patients in accordance with all existing regulatory and hospital standards policies and procedures In addition along with the care team this position is responsible for ensuring a positive patient experience This role performs in a high activity work environment with multiple priorities and necessitates flexibility in schedulingStudent Nurse Technicians must be actively enrolled in an accredited ASN or BSN Nursing programJOB RESPONSIBILITIESbull Assists the RN and the nursing care team by performing nursing care measures that contribute to the daily management of patient care Upholds infection prevention standardsbull Performs and assists with direct patient care bathing grooming oral denture care perineal care toileting elimination feeding positioning repositioning and ambulationbull Performs interventions specimen collection urinary catheter care Point of Care Testingbull Obtains and records vital signs using the electronic medical recordbull Assists in maintaining a clinical environment that is clean safe and free from clutterbull Reports deviations and changes in patient status in a timely manner to the RNbull Performs EKG andor Phlebotomy duties based on assigned unit hospital and or needbull Performs other related duties as requiredWork where every moment
