Student-Parent Liaison (Professional Expert, Short Term, Temporary)
Basic Function

The Kern Community College District (Kern CCD) is seeking a Student-Parent Liaison. This position will be filled using a professional expert contract for a period of two years.  

Representative Duties

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Provide the coordination, technical assistance, and other support necessary to assist and build the capacity of the college in planning and implementing effective student-parent and family involvement activities to improve student-parent academic achievement.
Maintain and review student-parent data, update records, and purge duplicate data.Promote strategies to support successful college and student-parent interactions.
Coordinates and implements outreach to student-parents.
Coordinates student-parent sessions, meetings, and activities.
Provides information to student-parents regarding public and private resources available.
Promote and support student-parent attendance and participation in college-wide.
Promote teamwork by sharing knowledge, cooperating with others, participating in meetings and work groups, and supporting the goals and objectives of the college and sites.Perform administrative duties, responsibilities, and activities that may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination equivalent to: 
graduation from high school
