Prysmian is looking for a student to join our Purchasing team at our Middlesbrough location for a fixed term placement.
It is a requirement that you are currently undertaking a Bachelor degree and looking for a student placement to support your learning and development path. Your roles and responsibilities as a student placement in purchasing will include:
Every day is different and varied. You will be in charge of a wide range of different projects. Typical tasks may include:
Assist the expansion of our ‘Business-to-Business’ (B2B) e-procurement system into new and current business areas;
Responsible for the management of B2B process including system management, user training & liaising with suppliers regarding potential opportunities
Increase internal customer satisfaction by supporting and improving the efficiencies of the procurement cycle;
Manage the Prysmian supplier base approval process;
Supporting Central Purchasing Team in a range of on-going or to be defined projects as required;
Investigate invoice discrepancies, communicate contract renewals and terminations, and support our ‘internal contract timetable database;
Assisting negotiating contracts and setting up pricing agreements;
Support the purchasing team in carrying out spend analysis and market research worldwide;
Monthly update of the purchasing dashboard regarding each Material Group;
Support with the renegotation of Long Term Agreements as well as with the management of small Rfq.
Provide general administrative support within the Central Purchasing Team which would include maintaining SAP supplier prices, Payment Terms analysis & discrepancies.
