Responsibilities

As a Student Rad Tech at St. Clare Hospital, you will:

Perform radiological exams at a technical level in accordance with department protocols and applicable regulatory requirements, ensuring accurate and timely results.Operate radiological equipment safely and efficiently in various locations, including clinics, the emergency room, surgery, and more.Deliver exceptional patient care to individuals of all age groups, acting as a liaison between the patient and the radiologist, and explaining procedures clearly and compassionately.Utilize equipment and techniques to protect patients, yourself, and others from unnecessary radiation.Assist with basic nursing functions related to patient care and respond to emergency situations within your scope of authority.Maintain accurate patient records and communicate any significant changes in a patient's condition to the nursing floor.Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

What You'll Bring:

Currently enrolled in the second year of an accredited Radiological Technology program.Knowledge of radiological examination concepts, standards, procedures, and equipment.Understanding of regulatory requirements related to x-ray examinations and equipment.Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.Basic computer skills and the ability to use office equipment.State of Washington Registration as an X-Ray Technician.Current healthcare provider BLS certification.A strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a passion for patient care.
