By providing advanced levels of decision-making, customer service, and student worker team leadership, this position ensures that stakeholders receive excellent, broad ranging assistance for all needs – from application to graduation. The incumbent plays an important role in the recruitment and retention of students. This position also supports the Student Services Center by completing a variety of administrative tasks such as processing official transcript requests, ordering and organizing supplies and print materials and making sure the center has what it needs to function effectively in addition to serving as the reception for all offices within the Academic and Student Services offices (Accessibility Services, Financial Aid, Records, Advising, Career Services, Academic Administration, and other ancillary departments **Minimum Qualifications** + Word processing skills sufficient to develop and modify correspondence, records, and reports, and the ability to use software to create, format, edit, print and save a variety of documents, including emails, memos and reports. + Knowledge of communications sufficient to answer telephones, communicate effectively with customers, prepare responses to routine inquiries, and follow detailed instructions. Understand and be understood during interactions with others. + Ability to provide training to others in technical and customer service skills. + Demonstrates awareness of and ability to maintain the confidentiality of student information to comply with laws, rules, policies and procedures. + Capable of working independently to organize work, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines on multiple projects and assignments. + Ability to analyze and make recommendations for new or revised administrative practices and procedures for smooth and efficient operations of the Student Services Center. **Preferred Qualification** + Associate’s Degree or higher + One-year general office experience + Familiarity with typical Higher Education processes and procedures including applying for Financial Aid, Admissions, degree requirements and student resources. + Knowledge of Lake Superior College academic programs, policies and procedures sufficient to answer questions for future LSC students. + Knowledge/experience with student information systems such as the Integrated Student Record System (ISRS). + Leadership experience either professionally, at school or within the community + Demonstrated ability to work successfully with persons from diverse backgrounds, and commitment to diversity and inclusion initiatives. **Work Shift** **Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm** **Telework: No** **About** Lake Superior College is an Equal Opportunity employer and educator deeply committed to fostering the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
