Objective The Waller Student Services Coordinator will assist students, parents, and other interested parties on the Blinn College Waller campus via telephone, web, walk-in traffic and email with their questions regarding the Waller campus, including class schedules, admissions, registration, financial aid, advising, and student account questions.

Principal Accountabilities 1. Serves as liaison between students and the Waller campus Administrator.

2. Responds to basic requests for information via phone, email, or in-person using effective and professional verbal, nonverbal and/or written communication by providing information and answering questions/requests from visitors, faculty, staff, and students- directing each inquiries to appropriate Blinn resources, as needed.

3.Assists students in the admissions and registration processes including, but not limited to, collecting and tracking admissions paperwork, assisting students with registration problems, processing TSI information, and sell test tickets (TSIA2, ATI TEAS, etc.).
4. Assist students with questions about their NelNet accounts and facilitate contact with the Business Office if students need higher-level assistance.

5. Assists and educates students regarding their myBlinn account and registration.
6. Arranges schedules, and proctors academic testing and exams as needed.
7. Conducts special projects and assignments as directed.
8. Assists with completing necessary reports.

9. Responsible for opening/closing and securing the Office.

10. Plan and coordinate professional meetings and conferences – by organizing events and setting up travel arrangements, calendar invites, etc. Develops spreadsheets for room reservations, scheduling and utilization.

11. Oversees all office equipment and consumables to ensure proper stock and function and arranges for servicing and/or replenishment as needed. Monitor inventory and purchasing – by checking budget categories and preparing purchase requisitions, expense forms, reports, and supplies

12. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Competencies 1. Demonstrates a mastery of professional verbal and written communication to establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and excellent public relation skills to effectively communicate and assist students, potential student, parents, supervisors, and peers – by telephone, in written format (letters/memos/emails), and in person..2. Ability to use Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel and other software programs which may be applicable in college admissions settings.3. Ability to handle multiple tasks.4. Organize, plan, and prioritize multiple work projects – by setting goals and timelines – with limited supervision and with a high degree of accuracy.5. Perform administrative activities as detailed in the principal accountabilities with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.6. Friendly customer service7. Knowledge of campus schedules, classrooms, labs, faculty and staff, strong organizational skills.8. Ability to work limited night and weekend hours.
