JEVS Human Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a talented Student Success Advisor to join the JEVS team at Orleans Technical College. Orleans Technical College is a nonprofit career school committed to helping individuals achieve their employment goals by providing training in a variety of in-demand fields including building trades and healthcare. Responsibilities: Discuss attendance policy with new classes prior to orientation; monitor school attendance daily Meet with students with attendance problems and advise them on make-up time and attendance improvement Monitor hallways, cafeteria, patio, and school environment to ensure appropriate student behavior. Assist students in securing part-time employment that allows them to remain in school Instruct small and large groups in life skills and/or job readiness to enhance students’ professional development. Prepare quarterly reports on workshop outcomes. Assist students in solving problems that interfere with training; conduct classroom interventions and mediate when appropriate. Process communications regarding student progress from counselors, parole and probation officers, and other agency (e.g., Department of Welfare) representatives. Provide letters of support for students regarding unemployment compensation, welfare, court appearances, insurance, etc. Enter progress notes into Campus- Vue
