We invite you to become part of Connecticut’s most comprehensive healthcare network. *_Job Summary_* The Student Support Coordinator is responsible for the safe management of the positive school milieu, reinforcement of positive behavior and for the coordination of transportation for The Webb School. The Student Support Coordinator is supervised by the Administrator or the designee. *Job Responsibilities* * Implementing and supporting a positive Trauma Informed Care (TIC) milieu including: specific reinforcement activities, student problem solving/processing regarding ongoing issues, restorative practice, crisis intervention and referral to other professionals, as appropriate. * Communication and monitoring of student needs with clinicians, parents, teachers, nurses, psychiatrists, van drivers, administrators, etc. * Input into, and implementation of, all individual behavior intervention plans and monitoring that all plans are positive and proactive. * Coordination of the documentation of student attendance, behavioral incidents, and any other documentation as required by the administration. * Coordination of all transportation services for students of the Webb Schools (This may include coordination with the IOL transportation department, school system transportation providers, and parents.) * Support to van personnel regarding strategies for the safe transportation of students. * Support training of Webb School staff in Crisis Intervention. * Participation in school teams including ongoing evaluation of the program and possible revision of policies, procedures, and practices. * Bachelors Degree required. * DMV requirements for transporting students to and from activities and/or to and from school may be required. * Previous experience working with age-specific patient population preferred in either a mental health or other appropriate setting (eg. social services, camp, school, etc.). * At least 2 years’ experience with seriously emotionally disabled children/adolescents * Effective written and verbal communications skills required. * Individual programs may require: bilingual in Spanish/English or other languages, or specific certifications. * Successful completion of crisis intervention training program We take great care of careers.
