Position Information Position Information Position Availability: Position Title: Student Support Marketing Assistant - FWS Requisition Number: 0406073490 Location New York City Position Type: Student Department: Provost/Provost's Office Responsibilities: The Student Support and Advocacy Office works with students to help them navigate non-academic challenges, distressing experiences, and crisis situations. We listen to students’ concerns and work with them to develop a support plan. Student Support is seeking a responsible, detail oriented individual to provide social media marketing support for 10 hours per week. This individual should display a professional demeanor and the ability to multitask effectively. The applicant must possess strong organizational skills, punctuality, and an ability to work independently. A high level of technical computer literacy and a familiarity with Canva and Instagram is preferred. This position offers a flexible work schedule with a high expectation of reliability. This role is an opportunity to acquire hands-on experience in social media marketing, and build proficiency in content creation, analytics, and digital communication

RESPONSIBILITIES
General responsibilities include:
● Assist in creating and scheduling content for the Student Support and Advocacy Instagram
account.
● Research and create posts that promote both on and off-campus resources for our student
followers who may need support.
● Monitor and engage with followers, responding to messages and comments promptly.
● Track and analyze social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of our posts.
● Collaborate with the Student Support and Advocacy team to develop new strategies for increasing
engagement and outreach.
● Ensure all social media content aligns with the office’s mission and branding guidelines.
● Stay updated with the latest social media trends and best practices.
● Be available to attend SSA team meetings as needed to provide updates on marketing strategies
and projects.
● Provide additional support for marketing and outreach initiatives as needed.
WORK MODE
● Hybrid/Remote – Employees hired for this position primarily work remotely with the occasional
on-campus presence required with advanced notice. Employees in this role will also be expected
to use their best judgment to be on campus when necessary in order to best fulfill the
responsibilities of their job descriptions.
SALARY RANGE
As per the NYC Salary Transparency Law, New York City employers are required to disclose the
expected salary range on internal and external job listings starting November 2022. Provide the salary range for this position. Salary bands per Compensation Pay Levels can be found in the Administrative Compensation Structure guide.
$16/hour

Docs, Forms, Sheets, etc.
● Interest in a position that has the potential to extend across fall and spring semesters
