Work Location Springfield Campus Department Environmental Health & Safety Hiring Range 15.00-17.00 Department/Employer Operating Hours Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm How many hours per week are required? 15-20 Description of Primary Duties The Student Sustainability Engagement Assistant will assist the Sustainability Coordinator to track sustainability-related activities throughout campus and in the community, attend related events and meetings, create social media posts  and blog posts to enhance awareness of the meaning of sustainability, action that can be taken to live more sustainably, promote sustainability-related events, and show photos or videos of events that have taken place to encourage future participation. The worker will also track impacts of social media and blog posts, creating reports showing any changes, and assist in planning sustainability campaigns, potentially including but not limited to: limited assistance with project development and proposals, networking, searching and potentially applying for funding opportunities for activities/events, obtaining quotes for required activity materials and bookings, and promoting events. Required Qualifications Interest in sustainability-related topics  Candidates with academic or work experience in a sustainability-related field will be strongly considered  Majors, minors, or certificates in a field related to sustainability preferred
