About the Role & Program:
Walt Disney Studios Post Production is a team within the Disney Live Action and 20th Century groups. We set up, budget, schedule and lead the Post Production aspects of the Live Action features. Intern will report to the SVP, Post Production.
The DLA/20CS Post Production team is responsible for Live Action Theatrical and Streaming titles such as Mufasa and Alexander, as well as animated projects such as Ice Age and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. This team collaborates with teams across all departments within their respective banners, from the very conception to delivery of a project. The Post Production Internship is a fantastic opportunity to get exposure to all aspects of the Post Production process from a Studio perspective. Interns will be responsible for upkeep of our essential databases, rolling calls when necessary, and getting hands on experiences with our productions.
This internship is a full-time commitment in the Burbank, CA area from May/June 2025- August/September 2025.
What You Will Do:
Assist with creating and updating show files
Attend and help set up internal studio meetings
Maintain digital files and online database
Covering desks when necessary (answering phones, rolling calls, scheduling, etc.)
Completing general office tasks (printing, copying, phones, filing, etc.)
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects
High attention to detail and experience multitasking in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience working in the entertainment industry
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Prior internship experience in post-production field
Experience with a non-linear editing platform (Avid/Final Cut/Adobe Premier)
Education:
Junior or Senior year preferred
Current student with a Film/ Video Production major (or minor) with either some background in Film, Television, Communication, and/or Visual Effects.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information:
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9am - 6pm PST for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, CA area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
The pay rate for this role in California is $22 per hour.
