Studios Operations & Housing Coordinator

Support the Manager of Carnival Studios to maintain building Facility. Coordinate regular maintenance and lead small projects for facility updates. Assist Carnival Studios Housing Associate with Team Member arrivals or departures, including some admin tasks. Assist with setting up building functions and celebrations. Receive weekly deliveries from Centergate.

Essential Functions:

Coordinate Carnival Studios Facilities Operations: Responsible for the day-to-day coordination of building operation and preventative maintenance of Carnival studios. Coordinate building deliveries, team member mail and shipments.  Apartment Operations: support Carnival Studios Associate to help maintain shipboard team members housing for the duration of their stay. Verify Team Member documents upon arrival. Will require meeting Team Members at irregular hours depending on arrival times. Responsible for helping assemble and transporting furniture and apartment supplies.  Assist with setting up building functions and celebrations such as Studio Star, Department meetings, daily rehearsals, and interdepartmental functions. Assist with ordering facility and apartment supplies. Work with Associate on ordering supplies as required, restocks apartments, and ensures they are in full stock prior to team member arrival.

Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in facility, stage, event, or company management 2+ years of experience in an entertainment or facility operations position

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Superb verbal and written skills Detail oriented in documentation and data management.  Excellent working knowledge of Office and Outlook.  Comfortable with Windows.  Valid Florida Driver’s License Clean driving record  Provide proof of valid car insurance  Must have their own form of transportation Taking a pre-employment drug test, the result of which is negative Project Management or Facilities Management. Willing to be trained on Forklift and Aerial platform lifts An understanding of Theatre or Cruise operations and the demands of rehearsal spaces and performer housing. Excellent interpersonal and management communication skills. Talent to problem solve and understand the needs of a growing and evolving work environment. Capability to plan long term with a specific eye on innovation. The ability to maintain a calm demeanor and remain focused while adjusting your frame of thinking in an emergent situation.

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout CCL facilities. Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds

Travel: Less than 25% shore-based travel

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. May be requested to work a different shift. Work Saturday’s. Days off may not be consecutive and may include weekends based off operational needs. Hours may vary.

This position is classified as “in-office.” Because of the nature of the role, employees are required to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida five days each week.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
