Posting Details Position Information Date New Hire Needed Job Title Study Away Adviser, Full-time, P1 Career Level, Exempt Department Institute for Global Engagement Position Summary Information Job Summary Grinnell College’s Institute for Global Engagement ( IGE ) is seeking a Study Away Adviser. This role advises on IGE’s short- and long-term programming in the US and abroad. The person in this role also oversees a specific portfolio of semester-long study away partner programs. For that specific portfolio, the Adviser provides comprehensive advising support to students before, during and after their experiences and oversees database management of programs and applications in IGE’s portal. The position also performs service functions associated with IGE’s global engagement opportunities, supporting the student mobility team with events and marketing. Key Responsibilities: + Advise students on all of IGE’s global engagement opportunities. + Assist students in identifying and applying to study away opportunities. + Oversee data management for advising portfolio in IGE’s application portal. + Review study away applications for advising portfolio, communicate decisions and follow-up + Support the student mobility team with events including info sessions, tabling, pre-departure orientations, return student activities and the Global Opportunities Fair + Perform service functions such as administrative tasks, marketing, and special projects + Gather and analyze information about programs including evaluations ABOUT GRINNELL COLLEGE Grinnell College is a top-ranking private liberal arts institution that values diversity, equity, inclusion, intellectual freedom, and social responsibility.
