What this job involves

Set up Standard Operating Procedures for the engineering management of all client buildings.

Ensure compliance with all procedures and controls used for working within critical environments.

Provide technical training, quality control, advice and guidance for JLL’s engineering delivery teams across the portfolio.

Act as subject matter expert in critical environment and general building services engineering and provide advice and support to all account activities.

Respond to all relevant incidents to ensure safety, analysis and resolution to client satisfaction.

Act on behalf of the Regional Engineering Director in their absence.

Critical Environment Management

Implement the Global standard for CEM incorporating client and JLL and local statutory requirements.

Ensure all staff and vendors employed in critical facilities are properly trained and accredited. Ensure strict adherence to all working policies and procedures.

Initiate and/or participate in site reviews including maintenance standards, equipment replacement, security, change control, single points of failure, Tier adherence and operational risk.

Ensure completion of, and compliance with, the Engineering Assurance review process.

Support service delivery teams on critical equipment maintenance and upkeep.

Act as the point of escalation for critical failures to assist site technical teams to make safe, identify, analyse, rectify and report on improvements.

Engineering Operations

Implement the Global standard for engineering operations incorporating client, JLL and local statutory requirements.

Understand the engineering risks and ensure they are appropriately documented, communicated and mitigated

Ensure we possess comprehensive asset registers and related Planned Preventive Maintenance programmes and service contracts for facilities.

Ensure completion of, and compliance with, the JCAP Assurance review process. Work with Facility Managers to ensure all audit/inspection deficiencies have an appropriate action plan in place and are followed through. Provide advice on how to address deficiencies where necessary.

Develop and provide training to on-site teams on engineering best practices.

Identify developments in international best practice and provide advice on localised implementation.

Embed sustainability considerations across all engineering decision making.

Health and Safety

Ensure compliance with statutory regulations on fire, health and safety standards

Ensure all safety procedures, including Crisis Management/ Business Continuity and Emergency Procedures are maintained at all times.

Others

Develop and implement innovative programmes and processes that reduce costs and increase productivity.

Assist in the implementation of the client’s project works.

Provide 24/7 emergency call support and site attendance as required.

Develop and implement innovation programs and processes that reduce utility costs, increase productivity and savings and share with the wider EOS community.

Assist with continuous optimisation of processes, tools and documentation.

Achieve Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreement targets.

Interested?  An ideal candidate would need to have the following qualifications

Desired experience and technical skills

Required

Tertiary qualifications in a mechanical, electrical or operational engineering discipline.

10 years of experience in building services engineering.

Ideally a professional qualification holder such as PE (USA), CEng (UK) or local equivalent.

Excellent people skills and ability to interact with a wide range of client and vendor staff.

Critical environment experience

Fluency in Cantonese and English

Experienced with continuous improvement initiatives, client relationship and preparation of reports.
