In this role you will be responsible for managing a team of systems engineers of disciplines related to engine systems integration

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

The Sub Section Mmanager - Systems Disciplines is responsible for the daily management and strategy development of a multi-disciplinary team comprising: Installations & Integration, Engine Performance, Control & Fuel Systems & Module/Systems Design

Manages a multi-disciplinary team of systems engineers, supports the Head of H-Series Product line & Head of Design Organization to ensure necessary systems engineering capacities & competencies to support the Design Organization, LCE organization and other functions.

Responsible for talent development, mentoring and coaching of the Systems Team, planning of succession pipeline, performance evaluations and guidance on career planning.

Provides necessary systems resources for execution of technical programs supporting Systems Model Leaders.

Ensures integration of Systems Engineering Team with GEA and Avio Aero

Works with Design Suppliers for externals & accessories

Support the Systems Model Leaders for System-Level Design changes & management of technical specifications.

Supports the Head of H-Series Product line for financial planning in collaboration with Engineering Operations

Supports Engine Level development, certification & acceptance testing, provides support to the production organization for problem solving and improvements (engineer on the shop).

Qualifications/Requirements

Master’s degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering or equivalent from an accredited university

Sound and proven experience in an Aviation Systems Engineering leadership role

Knowledge of managing multi-disciplinary teams (on-site/remote)

Deep knowledge of Airworthiness & Certification requirements and processes

Demonstrated knowledge of Systems Integration and System thinking

Horizontal leadership & influence, Lead teams without direct reporting

Program Management and execution skills

Clear communication skills

Clear thinker and effective problem solver also in high pressure environment

Good knowledge of English language, both written and oral

Work VISA, according to local regulation, is required

Desired Characteristics

H/M-series product knowledge

Knowledge of aero engine systems disciplines (control systems, fuel systems, performance, installations)

Knowledge of Requirements management processes and tools

Working knowledge of Czech language
